Planning
Babbage Planning seamlessly integrate with our other disciplines such as architecture, engineering, environment, and surveying. This holistic approach allows us to deliver one-stop-shop solutions that address a diverse range of requirements and interests, ultimately speeding up the planning process and meeting all necessary planning tests.
Our services encompass all aspects of regional and district planning across New Zealand, from early-stage project assessments to Environment Court appeals for resource consent applications. Specific services include obtaining planning approvals for land developments, subdivisions, roads, wastewater, stormwater, and water transmission projects. We also assess discharges to air, land, and water against planning and environmental standards, implement changes to local authority plans, policies, and bylaws, and engage in stakeholder consultations such as the public and mana whenua groups.
We believe in early involvement in projects to fully understand our clients' objectives and identify potential risks and opportunities. This proactive approach allows us to effectively agree on the scope of work, budget, and timelines. Throughout all projects, we prioritise responsible stewardship of urban, recreational, and rural landscapes, balancing economic development with environmental performance.
With extensive experience in the dairy and other primary industries, as well as over 20 years of managing planning applications for dairy factories and processing facilities, we bring a wealth of knowledge to every project. Our expertise also extends to residential housing subdivisions, retail developments, and educational facilities.
